Today is going to be a wonder*full day!! I get to see Charlie and his family!! In fact, there may or may not (but definitely is) one more member of the family for this session! And I can't wait to meet him!
Before it's time for a newborn session with the H family, I thought I would recap all of fun I have had with Charlie over the past three years. THREE YEARS! I can't believe it!
When I first launched my kids brand, I was working with my mentors, Justin & Mary, and had been shooting weddings exclusively for three years as their second shooter. The new kids brand was called &J2 Kids. Charlie was one of my first clients on my very first day photographing kids! WOW! I am so humbled and honored to still be capturing memories for the H family.
In the spring of 2012, &J2 Kids was born when we set up an "April showers" mini session day... I don't do much studio work anymore... but wow, did Charlie have fun with the props!

Then I met up with Charlie again in the Fall of 2012, shortly before Julia Jane Studios launched... we brought apples and played at Waveny Park in New Canaan CT. He was WALKING! and look at those curls!!! :)

The next time I saw Charlie was the summer of 2013 where we celebrated his second birthday on the Greenwich beach. It was raining and windy, but Charlie didn't care... he waded out into the water with Mom & Dad like it was 85 and sunny :)

The summer flew by and before I knew it was time for Christmas card photos! We met up at Waveny where Charlie spent most of the afternoon playing run away from the photographer!! :)

Then it was 2014... Happy New Year! I met up with Charlie again in the spring. This time it was sunny & warm... we spent the afternoon at Weir Farm in Redding, CT.

And in the Fall of 2014 we went back to Waveny Park to have fun in the fading fall light! And Charlie found the last dandelion in the Northeast! :)

I cannot wait to see them all again today and meet little baby Henry! YAY! :) I'm not going to lie, this post pretty much brought me to tears. What an honor to watch a family grow together... and I can't wait to see what this year has in store!
