Weeks certainly fly by, don't they? One day, we're celebrating the possibility of an entirely new year, and seemingly overnight, February arrives and January is already behind us. I am thankful for this project, it makes me stop and think, try to savor the every day moments and above else, try to see my world in a different way.
This week was another treatment week. We started the week in Connecticut, going about our normal lives (booking two more amazing couples for the 2018 season, yay!), and three days later, we were in Philadelphia where Lucy would receive her second dose of intra arterial chemotherapy.
When I look back, it's good to see the joy present in moments of worry, the love exhibited during moments of exhaustion, and the hope, that burns so brightly behind the scenes. It's not easy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Day 28: The morning light hits my dried status just right.

Day 29: The way she looks at Grandpa.

Day 30: I love to build snowmen but haven't been able to build one this year, despite all of the snow we have had. Grandpa surprised us with the perfect mini snowman, waiting by the driveway when we pulled in after a long drive to New Jersey.

Day 31: Lucy loves taking her blocks out and putting them back in. Every once in a while she pauses to look. Sometimes, I look too. It's like a beautiful kaleidoscope.

Day 33: Sometimes you just need to sit next to your best friend and relax.

Day 33: Intra arterial chemo day. After they released her from recovery, Lucy collapsed into Grandpa's arms and my heart just about burst.

Day 34: The morning after intra arterial chemo. Lucy had a rough night but woke up happy. She LOVES the hotel beds.

See you next week!

Julia
