The week came and went in a blur of emails, doctors appointments, and late nights. It was a long week of doctors appointments for Lucy and in between I worked on albums for wedding clients, responded to inquiries and tried to keep up with instagram. I love that my job keeps me grounded, even in times of worry, I can escape into a warm summer session or a fun Autumn afternoon and be transported to a beautiful day with only the happiest of feelings.
Day 49: I drove to NJ with Lucy to prepare for her numerous doctors appointments and we were greeted by the cutest little snowman. Soon, he was melting, and somehow, he was almost cuter as a puddle.
Day 50: A family friend illustrated this gorgeous angel for Lucy's room at home.
Day 51: Preparing for our overnight trip to Philadelphia for Lucy's doctors appointments. We visited the beach before dinner to take a deep breath and stare at the ocean.
Day 52: My daughter, my heart. As we prepared to leave for Philadelphia at 4am, Lucy and her Gramby played quietly with magnets. Later in the day, we waited at CHOP for blood results and Lucy slept.
Day 53: Lucy and Grandpa. Early in the morning, grandpa watched Lucy so I could shower. I walked into his hotel room, adjoining ours, and my heart nearly burst. These two, like two peas. I can’t even.
Day 54: The morning after Lucy's chemo. She had a rough night, but as always, woke up smiling. There's a reason we call her #lucythewarrior.
Day 55: The rain let up and Lucy and I took a walk on the boardwalk.
See you next week!
