We live in a world of perfect. Perfect Instagram feeds, perfect Pinterest boards, perfectly composed Facebook posts. One of the reasons I decided to do a 365 is because I want to celebrate more than that. I want to celebrate the perfect, the perfectly imperfect and all of the messy moments in between. Most days nothing extraordinary happens, and yet, there are always beautiful moments to capture- extraordinary moments hidden in the fabric of everyday life. From the way the sun hits the flowers in the garden to the way her perfect little pout looks as she sleeps.
This week didn't exactly go as planned. Our little warrior was supposed to have a whole week off from appointments. Unfortunately, nothing ever works out like it should, so we found ourselves at CHOP two days this week, hoping her symptoms would clear up before we traveled up to Connecticut for Erin & Eric's wedding at Saltwater Farm. Through all of the messy, unplanned moments, Lucy the Warrior kept a smile on her face and in turn, ours. The week wasn't perfect, but it was full of perfectly imperfect, beautifully messy moments.
Day 171: Because her smile makes me smile

Day 172: Fun with pinwheels.

Day 172: pinwheel gardens cast interesting shadows.

Day 173: That face.

Day 173: Oh say can you see.

Day 174: A trip to CHOP for a few tests. Her smile lights up the exam room.

Day 175: A second trip to Philadelphia. There is never a bad time for peek a boo.

Day 175: A Cotton candy bomb awaited us when we arrived home from Philly.

Day 176: We drove back to Connecticut for the weekend. Lucy wasted no time exploring our yard in her new wagon.

Day 177: A PERFECT day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard! Congratulations Erin & Eric!

See you next week!
