Week 36: It was a big week for our little family. Not only was it filled with spectacular beach days, it was slated to be Lucy's last round of intra-vitreous chemotherapy (or what we "affectionately" call icky eye shots), I also had a double header in Mystic on Friday and Saturday. The end of Lucy's aggressive treatment schedule means that I can move back home to Connecticut. The past six months have been strange, but beautiful. Living in New Jersey to be close to CHOP during the week and commuting to CT on the weekends for weddings has been hectic but rewarding. I will do whatever it takes to take care of our family AND whatever it takes to take care of my couples. The balance has not been easy, but it has been worth it.
Day 241: Dada visited for the weekend. I think ordinary moments like this are some of the most extraordinary.
Day 241 afternoon: an afternoon at the beach with her older cousin. I think you can guess who did most of the work and who reaped most of the benefits :)
Day 242: Officially Memorial Day. Our star spangled cutie hit the beach for some fun in the sun.
Day 243 Another beach trip for our free spirit before her procedure on Wednesday.
Day 244: Lucy was all smiles in the waiting room but those icky eye shots left her tired and hurting later. Thankfully, Grandpa is a great place for a nap.
Day 245: Lucy woke up and felt MUCH better than the evening before, so we went outside for a little while. Lucy even did a little celebratory jig amongst the impatiens.
Day 246: Congratulations Julia & John!
Day 247: Jill & Dan are Married, yay!
See you next week!

J
