Spending my Friday night sneaking into a sleeping baby's room to soak up every single moment of this amazing journey called motherhood. Most days, I think she teaches me more than I teach her. There is nothing more humbling than watching a tiny human develop into a force to be reckoned with. Ideas, thoughts, opinions, imagination, likes and dislikes are suddenly and overwhelmingly all there. And with all of those things come, ALL THE FEELS. For both of us. And at the end of the day, at the end of all the activity, and play, and amazingness comes a deep and peaceful sleep. There isn't any part of a toddler's day that is wasted, that isn't felt to the fullest. Sleep included. And I am grateful. Grateful for the chaos. Grateful for the adventure. Grateful for the peaceful moments at the end of the day. Grateful for her. And as I sneak back out of her room, I can't wait to wake up and to do it all again tomorrow.
