Lucy gives this board book the coveted 5 squeals!
Everyone keeps joking that it feels like winter is never going to end here in Connecticut, and while we do hope it will end eventually, we don't mind if it sticks around just a little bit longer. If you follow along on Instagram, you may have seen that we got to build TWO snowmen last week, and we wouldn't mind the chance to build one (or two) more.
Bundle Up, shows each step as purple hippo gets ready to go play outside in the snow and Lucy LOVES it! Before we go outside, Lucy loves to point at each part of her body to remind me what we need to wear. Feet = Boots. Hands = Mittens. Hair = Hat. And so on. So I think she really relates to Hippo as Hippo searches for all of her winter clothes. PLUS, Hippo has a pair of yellow mittens and so does Lucy! It's a fun detail that gave the book one extra squeal. :)
The book is short. The book is sweet. And the book ends on a really funny note. It's absolutely perfect for a toddler, just be ready to read it 2 or 3 or 10 times in a row! :)
