Toddler Book Review: Flashlight by Lizi Boyd

“reading is a passport to countless adventures”

Another win for our local library! We found this amazing book, flashlight, a few days ago and we are in love!

The illustrations are beautiful line drawings and most of the book is in black and white (except where the flashlight shines!). There are recurring animals throughout the story and Lucy had a blast finding them as we turned the pages. She especially loved the raccoon. I especially loved the luna moth. :)

There's no words in this picture book, but the illustrations are magical and tell their own story, igniting creativity and sparking children to make up their own words, questions, and observations.

This week, activities include: drawing with white chalk and white crayons on black paper.

This week, our book related activities include: drawing with white chalk and white crayons on black paper, searching the house with our trusty flashlight, and building a tent with sheets!

Have any ideas or feedback on the book?

Let us know! We'd love to hear from you!
