We took the terrarium off the window shelf and put it on th floor to admire the new growth. She smiled, laid down, and said, "Mama, I want to watch it grow" as she settled into the floor. I layed down opposite her and our eyes met through the grass. It was a magical moment of stillness.
I spend my days teaching, understanding, trying my best to do my best and yet, she is the one who is constantly reminding me what is important, teaching me to slow down and see the magic. How lucky are we who get to experience the world anew through their eyes?
