This heatwave has us dreaming of days spent on the beach! So we made an ocean in our living room. These water beads are my new favorites (they are so pretty!)
Lucy loved playing with the "water" on one side and the sand on the other. It lasted a whole week in her sensory bin because we had so much fun with it! Once play slowed down, I decided to switch it up a little. I took the "water" away and traded the shells and sea animals for sand molds. She loves playing with kinetic sand and little molds in the living room almost as much as big molds at the beach!
If your children are too young for water beads, tapioca pearls make a great substitute! We love 'em!

We hope you have fun experimenting with things in your sensory bin! We LOVE water beads, what's your favorite material? Let us know in the comments or tag us on IG so we can see and try it too!
