Sight words with Letter Stamps

“Never ever underestimate the importance of having fun”

Lucy has always loved letters and numbers. Ever since she was a baby she has gravitated towards games and items that have prominent letters and numbers. As a "retired" Reggio birth to k teacher, I try to include letters and number in everyday activities and let her explore them in ways that she enjoys. The goal isn't to do anything "perfectly" or "right", it's to open a dialog and spark a lifelong love of learning, letters, and literacy.

This activity was a great way to chat about letters, talk about sounds, match letters, and work on fine motor all at the same time! It went over well and when she grew tired of letters, we got out a few other stamps and continued stamping and drawing on the art table.
