Fizzy Bicarb is officially one of our favorite activities! I don't know why it took us so long it to try it! Remember our snowmen? We've done those a few times, but I thought I would change it up for Valentine's Day!
All you need to create a bicarb play tray is baking soda, water, and vinegar but things like glitter and food coloring can make it extra fun! I added both this time!

Start with one cup of baking soda and simply mix it with water until you create a thick paste. If you want, add food coloring to the paste.

I added glitter to the bottom of the ice cube trays and silicone cup cake liners.

Then, fill with your baking soda paste! I always make extra so that we have some leftover shaps in the freezer for later in the week.

Put them in the freezer overnight and take them out whenever you are ready to play!

Two toned hearts were made by filling half the silicone cupcake liner with white paste and then pouring some red paste on top.

Glitter!

Place the bicarb hearts on a tray with vinegar on the side and let them play! I also put out squirt bottles, droppers, measuring cups, funnels, spoons etc. but, so far, she likes to dump the whole bowl of vinegar on them and stir with her hands.

FIZZZZZ!

I hope you enjoy this activity. We had a blast melting hearts and hope you do too!
