If you have been following along on instagram, you know that Lucy's love of handwritten letters and hand drawn cards is unmatched. We walk to the mailbox almost daily to mail new creations to our family, friends and penpals. After carefully tucking her thoughtful drawings safely into envelopes, stickers are chosen to decorate the outside. The stickers are chosen to reflect the person to whom the letter is addressed; shells for people who live near the beach, ballerinas for a dancer and chickens for a fowl loving friend. She loves making every card extra special.
If you have been following along on the blog, you know that I never miss a chance to visit the library or purchase some new books. We have been collecting and rotating books about the mail and Lucy has been enjoying them immensely. We loved some of the library books so much that we purchased them for our own collection!
It took quite a bit of finesse to find books about the mail and we are thrilled with the list we came up with. A few teach you about the post office and the others are just plain fun. Lucy laughs and laughs at both Milly and Snail Mail and loves sitting and looking at the pictures in Mr. Post Mouse for hours. If your child loves letters, these books are for you!
