'Tis the season! The season of joy. The season of laughter. The season of giving....and that also makes it the season of questions about WHAT to give those you love.
I thought I give the holidays a little "Lucy Loves" treatment and put together a few blog posts on what to get your youngest friends this holiday season. You'll see lots of wooden toys, lots of ecofriendly materials, and lots of open ended, developmentally appropriate toys because you can take the Reggio Emelia teacher out of the classroom, but you can't take the Reggio teacher out of the mom. :)
First up on the list? The open ended toy that Lucy plays with every single day. Maileg Mice. There are always new accessories to go with the cute little mice and new mice being released. This year, we LOVED adding some summer mice to our collection. They each arrived in their own little bath house. This Christmas, we are excited to surprise Lucy with the gingerbread house for the mice to vacation in and hope she is as excited as we are with her expanding collection!
Look how happy Lucy looks playing with her brand new dollhouse last January! She received it as a gift from her grandparents last Christmas. There has not been a day since then, that it has not been used. It is the perfect gift to inspire hours of open ended, imaginative play!
And here are few new items on the Christmas list this year! How cute is that bread box? They also have a toaster in three different colors to choose from!
Check them out here (and try not to buy EVERYTHING!). They are seriously cute.
