The only thing sweeter than a snow day, is a snow day with homemade snow ice cream! It's super easy and fun to make and tastes good too!
We recipe using regular milk and the ice cream came out looking like snow. There are also recipes online that use condensed milk. I imagine those might be a little bit closer to real ice cream texture/flavor. We'll try that next time and report back!
All you need is: fresh snow, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
Stir the ingredients: milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. After reading through a bunch of recipes we used 1 cup whole milk, a little more than 1/3 cup granulated sugar, a hearty splash of vanilla and a tiny bit of salt.

Then we brought in 10 cups of fresh, clean snow.

Mixed it all up, topped it with rainbow sprinkles, and enjoyed!
