We are obsessed with the children's section at our local library! They have TONS of fun games to play, activities for kids almost every day, AND the best part of all, lots and lots of BOOKS! We have a bin in our living room overflowing with our latest finds, some of which we read at least 10 times in a row, 3 times a day.
A current favorite is LOOK, a book by Fiona Woodcock. The illustraitons are bright, bold and beautiful. The premis is simple and fun. It's a perfect combination for our house. Lucy loves looking through it by herself and also loves us reading it to her.
All of the words have an OO in them, that are perfectly encompassed ino the illustrations. Lucy's favorite page is WOOF WOOF, OOPs. She adores that doggy and his icecream!

Whenever we fall in love with a book, we also try to use toys or make up games that incorporate the theme of the book.
We are loving the brightly colored tissue paper and glue sticks available at the art table (reminiscent of the illustrations), we've been using our sensory tray (sand, colored rice, beans etc) to draw "o" with our finger, and finally, we've been been looking for "O" shapes around our home and in our yard.
