After 7 days, Lucy is allowed to play in the water and take a bath again. The return of the bath means the return to normalcy. No more washing her hair VERY carefully while she sits in the high chair. No more worrying that she might get sand in her eye and we won't be able to wash it out (we don't go to the beach after her treatments), no more sponge baths in the living room. It was a beautiful week and while we couldn't bathe for half of it, we still made the most of the garden.
Day 198: A local charity heard about Lucy and dropped off 5 mega boxes of the diapers Lucy wears. There were happy tears from the adults, and Lucy quickly decided the stack of diapers made a great reading spot.

Lucy figured out how to cross her fingers and loves to show off her new skill.

Day 199: Gardens keep the best secrets.

We spent the afternoon in the garden and even found a caterpillar. We looked him up and found out he was behind the missing sycamore leaves but but Lucy loved watching his fuzzy face peek at us over the leaves and he really was quite cute.

Day 200: pinwheels are better than the pool anyway!

Day 201: We got a box of goodies from Lucy's friend, Lucinda. We call her Big Lu and Lucy is Little Lu. She loved the flashlight!

Later, we took a rainy day walk on the boardwalk.

After our rainy walk it was BATH TIME! YAY!

Day 202: Loving our new sprinkler from Big Lu

Day 203: An early morning trip to the beach turned extra fun when Grandpa met us down there and taught Lucy how to build a sandcastle!

After building a sand castle, we chased a sea gull all the way to the next beach over.

Day 204: An afternoon trip to the beach, Lucy adores playing in the sand!

See you next week!
